We left Pictured Rocks yesterday, but not before a 6 mile hike to Chapel Rock. We did return to Little Beaver Lake to camp Monday night, and I’m so glad we did. The walleye fishermen gave Mark a fish cleaning lesson, and sent us out with walleye fillets.

What a sweet man. The hike was amazing. If you are hesitant to hike, Pictured Rocks is the place to be. No real ups and downs… Just a flat path through forests with waterfalls and flowing streams. Chapel Rock is interesting because there is an old pine tree on top, it’s root system is attached from another rock. And there are falls on the hike.

We spent the night in Van Riker State Park for a little electricity, and another hike.

Road to hiking!!

We are now in Ontonagon, dining on pasties. Headed to Porcupine Mountain for a few days!
