We are about a 30 minute drive north of Salida, Colorado.  Perched above the Arkasas River, in one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever been to.  But first, Salida, it is a must stop on any tour.  The town is beautiful with lovely shops, restaurants, homes and scenery.  It is slowly turning into a tourist town, but not in a bad way.  We wandered the streets and relaxed in the town.  Now we are in seemingly nowhere, surrounded by mountains and a mountain river.  Getting ready to have ham and eggs.  Life doesn’t get much better….maybe some smores by the campfire later.  And although there are only 2 other campers here.  Imagine our surprise to see a campground host.  Missing his two front teeth, but very friendly and informational.
