Yesterday we spend exploring Huntington Beach State Park. It is beautiful and in the middle of heavily populated areas. An oasis of nature and peacefulness. Initially it was four plantations bought by a wealthy northerner and his wife. They build a winter home due to her tuberculosis, and the harshness of northeastern winters.We were able to explore their home for $2.00. It is just a shell, but she had bears brought down from the Brooklyn zoo for her sculptures. You could really understand what their life was like here.

We also explored the beach and learned about salt water marshes.
