We are all comfy in a Santa Fey motel room. We have not give. Up camping, and will be back on the circuit tomorrow, following a little exploring of Santa Fey. This little stop is serving a few purposes. Number 1) we can watch the Packer game…on TV! Number2) reorganizing! Number 3) planning the rest of the way home! You see, I had a plan, and who would have thought campgrounds in the warm south, close October 1st? I didn’t even consider the possibility. The last two previous nights, the campgrounds have been padlocked shut. Luckily we had just talked to Bruce Hill about this and he said to can boondock in federal forests. So, that has worked out quite well, and I feel safe if we can get far enough off the road. But I still feel the safest in a campground, perhaps false security?

We are still following Route 66, but it isn’t as easy as it was in Arizona. A lot of on and off the Interstate. So we are picking our stops. Can’t wait to see Santa Fey tomorrow.

Here are some pictures of Joshua Tree I didn’t get posted, and one of Sophie hanging out.
