This environment has made poor 15 year old Sophie’s life difficult. She is used to doing her “business” in green grass, or snow in winter. Here, in the high desert, there is only dirt and rocks. She is so confused, she has taken to doing her “business” on sidewalks and even streets. Along with the dirt and rocks. I can only imagine what she is thinking. Then a burro in Oatman, Az., she is ready to rest in the safety of the camper.

Today we drove quite a bit of Route 66. The drive from Topock, Az to Oatman and then on to Kingman ( where we are now camped) was amazing. Oatman is quite the town, with lots of shops and burros on the streets. We then drove over Sitgreaves
Pass, 66 is narrow and there are hairpin curves, without guardrails. It was amazing. We are now camped near Kingman and relaxing.
I am still unable to upload from my camera, but here are a few pictures from today
