Spending time with Bruce and Cathe is a special part of our trip. They live near Dove Creek on a wonderful piece of land, near the Delores Canyon. It is close to town, but feels far removed from everything. Cathe is a music teacher in Dove Creek, and Bruce is a fire watch in the Grand Canyon. He works 10 days on and I believe 4 off. An amazing job and we were able to see his watch a few year back. They have made hiking trails all over their land and also have the Delores River and canyon to really get away. My pictures are of Warner Lake and then Delores Canyon. I need to take more of their place and of them to put up later. Today we are going to do some “Bruce” exploring. He knows this area and actually much of Colorado and Utah, like the back of his hand. Steering us to many places only locals know. A wealth of information and he is even helping us with where to go tomorrow when we leave here.
Last night they had a cook-out and we met some of their great friends. Sitting around a fire and visiting, along with great food was fun.
